Kurukulla is a Tibetan Buddhist goddess that has her roots in the love magic of India. She is depicted with red skin and red lotuses, which are of course, yoni symbols. She was invoked with extensive mantra recitation to bring a reluctant object of desire near by.
In the Buddhist tradition her capacity to attract was used for the attainment of enlightenment. In this sense she is a tantric goddess, because she is invoked to rise up the lower energies of heat and passion to create union with the ultimate reality.
