Saule is the sun goddess of the Baltic lands, who was the creatrix of the world. She divided the world into two parts. The upper world is where the sun shines during the day, and the underworld below is the realm of the dead. In this picture the sun Goddess pours forth warmth and radiant energy for the people on the earth.
The two women in the picture are performing a ritual in honor of her. They are connecting with the energies of the solar plexus, the place in the body where solar energy is stored as power for making one's way on the earth.
