Coatilicue is the Aztec great mother goddess who gave birth to all celestial things, and to the other gods and goddesses as well. From deep within the vastness of Coatilicue all things come into being, manifesting from the heart of a swirling galaxy.
The goddess incubates the planets in her womb, and life forms grow upon them. She connects the earth and sky, reminding us of the larger picture as we attend to life on earth. How does one be here now, yet remember the vastness of the Universe?
