Astarte was one of the many names of the great sky goddess of the Mediterranean region, along with Ishtar, Isis, Hathor, Neith and Mary. Her body was the vast space of the cosmos that held all the disembodied souls twinkling like the stars. She was known as "The Queen of Heaven", or "The Queen of the Stars."
From the womb of this Great Goddess a galaxy is born. All of creation pours forth from her. She holds above her the veil of the Zodiac, the blueprint for myriad energies here on earth. Her priestesses here on earth use astrology to divine the ways of the Great Goddess.
